New Component
Reserve the ID, define the part, create it in PeopleSoft. No routing, no estimate: a component only needs to exist. Routing and BOM come later in BOM Explorer / PDM if it ever becomes a make item.
1Reserve the ID
Same rule as the SKU Register: max in PeopleSoft item master + reserved migrations, from the prefix seq start.
2Create in PeopleSoft
Generates the Item Loader EC batch (Tier-1 staging rows + EIP control) for IT to run IN_ITMLOAD with VALIDATION_ONLY first. Defaults from the real item 149-0145. SetID stays DANA1; Minden inventory BU is MNDIN (Reyna, 2026-09-18). IT asked to test on FS92DEV first (2026-09-18).
Recent EC batches
Lifecycle: draft (generated) → submitted (handed to IT) → validated (IN_ITMLOAD validation passed) → loaded (item exists in PeopleSoft). Loaded is also detected automatically when the item shows up in the PeopleSoft item master refresh.
